I liked, simple place but with the necessary for a good stay.

They have good rooms and good food. I had amazing grilled pork and nicely cooked black beans

Not bad for a district-level hotel/guest house in rural southern Africa. "No frills." The rooms are clean and reasonably comfortable, if basic. Air conditioners and hot water seem to work most of the time. Beds are hard and lumpy, but survivable for a few nights. The breakfast restaurant is monotonous: "omlette" with yesterday's bread and Nescafe or tea. Breakfast is also not included with your room - you have to pay separately. Lunch and dinner are better: grilled meat, black beans, etc. are quite good. The staff are friendly and accommodating. Communication can be a challenge if you don't speak Portuguese. This is the go-to guest house for UN and NGO staff traveling to Cunene for work. Striking up conversations at breakfast can be more useful for coordination than actually going to meetings at UNICEF or WFP! Kinda far from town, but easy walking distance to a couple of decent restaurants and minimarts on that main road.
