Thanks Aussie Trax for a great island adventure with our first 4WD experience! The staff were friendly and very helpful. There's so much to be explained, but clearly it was for our own safety. Taking 3 young kids, we were definitely paying attention to all the safety information. Aussie Trax provide a very sound service and we were grateful for the experience. Definitely would use them again, they know what they are doing! See TripAdvisor for a more balanced representation of reviews.

Use another company if you have the chance. We were literally praying for the car to make it to the end of our adventure. The car was very old and in bad mechanical conditions, was just about to break. We were worried because if the clutch stops working they make you responsible. It was not a pleasant experience at all. The worst is the treatment that we received from the owner when we returned the car and told him that we were worried about the car during our time on Fraser Island. He yelled and insulted us, and was very racist, while we always talked with education. Very bad experience.

Had the displeasure of meeting Ali. She's rude and should not be in a role where she interacts with people.nnHere's some helpful information. The 4x4 hire has two prices for vehicles. It's on the website. This doesn't include car seats for young children ($30 per seat), fuel upon return (charged at approximately $2 /L for 50 litres), a park pass ($65 but you can supply your own by buying online for $54), and $50 to reduce the excess on the insurance from $5000 to $500 on what seems to be a useless policy if you read the other reviews. So take their price, add an extra $200 and you'll be close. Based on the way they treat customers in person and online, I'd steer clear.nnThere are other alternatives on the island to go see the sights for a fraction of the cost. Talk to front desk, they are super helpful.

covid lockdown means a I can't travel to Fraser Island and keep my booking but Aussie Trax 4x4 wont give me a refund. Unreasonable and unfair

I’m not sure what’s wrong with the staff here, she was extremely unfriendly and seems be under lot of stress and trying to release her stress and pressure on customers, if you need this type of experience once you pay about AUD 500 for 8 hour 4WD hire go to this place
