I completed the 2 day introduction furniture making workshop and had a great time. I had a bit of woodworking experience but haven't done much for years and there were people who had no experience at all. Stuart was great and gave everyone the confidence needed to use the equipment and learn the techniques for fine furniture making. Everyone in the class had different designed tables and the finish was excellent for all. Stuart was there the whole time, making sure the design and build was to a high standard. The end result was a brilliant, high quality, custom made table. I would recommend Bywater Design to anyone looking at doing a woodworking course and wanting to take home their own custom designed and made piece of furniture.

Stuart and his team restored some furniture for us and we are thrilled with the results. We had been deliberating whether we restored or replaced a dining table and chairs, sideboard and coffee table (circa 1930s & 40s) and I am so glad we went with the former. The pieces look magnificent. The coffee table was so damaged that we wondered if it was salvageable, and all of the dining chairs were unsound.
