Hello Trader

I recently purchased a rattan wall plate and it came super fast. It was also packaged really well. Highly recommend this store.

I had a disappointing experience dealing with Hello Trader which I feel is worth sharing. I ordered a Daybed in October 2018. I was told there would be a 6-week wait for delivery in late November 2018 (which was to be expected). This was to be a Christmas present for my girlfriend. This time came and went. There was no communication of the delay. When I followed up, I was told that it was always due in late December and that I was mistaken. This was contradictory to phone discussions I had when ordering and the invoice which specified a “mid to late November” delivery. When the order finally arrived in early January 2019, the dimensions, colour and style were different from what was ordered. I was offered a small discount but I did not feel this made up for the almost 2.5 month delay and smaller sized daybed. We were informed that the original design had now been discontinued and that we would have to accept the new design and dimensions and wait until mid-February for delivery. We also experienced misinformation from a number of employees we discussed the matter with. We decided to get our money back and take our business elsewhere. I understand that mistakes do happen, however the series of errors, slow communication and poor customer service was very disappointing. Response: The fact that you claim you don’t know who this is speaks volumes about the way you manage your business.

It's always a delight visiting Hello Trader. Stocked with beautiful hand crafted designs and supporting many local creatives. Recently I've been chasing a really large pot for a giant fiddle leaf fig but was advised by Chelsea, the owner, that all her large pots had been sold for another store's fit out. She's kept her eye on her suppliers for me and even went the extraordinary step of contacting me directly to show me some pots at a nursery on the Gold Coast that she thought I might like and might be extra large enough for my needs. Now that's going the extra mile!
