My experience with Avis was great to start with, i was issued a hire car by JLR as my car was in for repairs for 7weeks. I was advised JLR would cover all costs of the hire car obviously excluding tolls etc. I gave my credit card details for the tolls portion if used etc. After 7 weeks finally my car was ready, i handed back the hire vehicle on Monday 24th April 2021, i asked the man at the desk if i had any charges. He advised they're were none as the account was to be billed to JLR, no tolls either (As i had linked my tag etc.) fast forward to Saturday the 22May (1month) after returning the vehicle my account was debited for just under $700 by AVIS. I had received no receipt, no invoice or any communication for this charge. I contacted AVIS and the call center in the Philippines gave me the run around until i demanded the direct line for Paramatta i spoke to Sam who asked for my details to call me back as he had no record of me being billed and all charges were to go to JLR. No one called me back i had to call and email non stop and still no response. I ended up contacting JLR to get a solution. I had to log online to AVIS to find my own receipt as till now they have given me no account statement or receipt for the deduction from my account. On Tuesday 2nd June i was advised by JLR that Avis had confirmed they had initialized a refund to my account and it takes upto a week. Here we are Friday 11th June and still no refund and no explanation. i am just under $700 out of pocket and they have not reached out to me at ALL. they're lack of communication shows they're care factor. I would not recommend hiring a car from them as if any issues arise you get completely ghosted. Lets see if i ever get my money back!!

The staff are good, however there are few things need to be upgraded.n1. NFC must be available to be used, so the customers can use their phones to make a payment.n2. Each car should be equipped with USB cords, and Android or Apple CarPlay feature, and it should be tested that is working before hand in the car to the client.nHope we can see some improvement in the next 21 days, if you managed to get a car with CarPlay active in it, do let us know.nCheers.
