We always use Thrifty car rental if we can. Friendly counter staff, quick pickup service, reliable vehicle and have always had a straightforward drop off. Quick return of the deposit held is always appreciated. We don’t hire cars very often, but when we do, we go back to Thrifty.

I hired a vehicle for my Brisbane holiday with my kids. I hired it from Sunday 3/1 to Sunday 10/1. I was due to fly home from the Brisbane Airport on Sunday 3/1 and drop the vehicle off on the way. On Friday 8/1 the QLD govt decided to lock Brisbane down and we had by 6pm that day to get out of Brisbane and get home. Not being able to get on any flights home that day I called Thrifty and asked if I was able to drive the vehicle home to Canberra and drop it off at the Canberra Airport Thrifty. I spoke to a lovely girl called Heidi who not only said I could she also waived the one way vehicle fee under the circumstances. I thought that was wonderful :)
