The experience I had with the car was great but returning the car I wasn't impressed, I checked the website on the Monday to see what time they closed and it said 5.30 that worked well for me as my dad came with me and he finished work at 4.00, we got there and it was closed, called customer care and they said to leave the car there with the keys in a lock box, the lock box had no lock at all on it so I didn't feel safe leaving it, so I had to drive half and hr home and waste the full tank of petrol, I then had to drive back up the next day and waste more petrol. The next day when I dropped it off they told me they closed early coz it was a public holiday when it wasn't in NSW and they never changed the times that they were open. I was very annoyed because they just wasted my time both days

I didn’t have the best experience at Avis Tweed Heads. The guy behind the counter was rude and condescending and it felt like he really didn’t want to rent a car to me.nnHe asked me unnecessary personal questions and made me jump through hoops I have never had to with Avis before just to let me pay him for the service he is meant to be offering.nnAs a platinum member of Europcar perhaps I am just used to being treated with better customer service but I definitely wouldn’t be going back to Avis Tweed Heads.nnThe car itself was nice, but the prices were extortionate compared to other options.

The lovely man at Tweed Heads South went above and beyond to make the return of our rental car convenient for us. A pleasure to deal with. We will definitely rent from Avis/Budget Tweed Heads South again and would recommend to anyone.

This office continues with the great service I have experienced with other Avis offices. It's a little hard to find (between the Caltex service station and McDonald's)
