Went to pick up car. Waited exactly 1 hour in line. About 25 minutes paperwork. Stewart was attentive and friendly. I'm now outside in the waiting area, hot and sunny. All up its been 2 hours. Supposed to have taken off hours ago to Daintree. Family sitting at airbnb waiting. Whilst waiting in line I popped into (my spot in line with Alamo held by guy behind) Budget, next counter for a 2nd car. It took me all up 10 minutes with Budget. Budgets car already in bay, ready to go. All paperwork was done online. Compared to Alamos system, Alamo was still archaic, very slow andcumbersome. Staff were fine but I observed their concerns re the 2+ hours wait....

Unfortunately after an incident free rental, I received a letter in the mail a couple of weeks later saying I had incurred a speeding fine. Only problem was it was from 1 week before I rented the car. I was also charged a $50 admin fee. I immediately let the company know and they said they would fix it. When I received a reminder notice a few weeks later I queried whether they had sorted it - they insisted they had. Last week I got a debt enforcement notice - when I rang the Transport dep they said the stat dec had obvious errors in it and they had told the rental company several weeks ago. I emailed the company last Wednesday and still haven't had any confirmation that they have fixed the issue. I have never completed a google review before but am flummoxed about how to get this rental company to fix the issue they caused so in lieu of receiving a response from the company I feel this is my only option. Until they fix my issue I would definitely not recommend using this rental company because they really don't seem to care about fixing their mistake and the impact it is having on me.

I highly recommend this as the best bargain, service and hassle-free car rental company I have ever used in the world.nThe 11 pm flight was delayed I had booked online day before. I rang to confirm airport pickup on the day, they reassured me everything was okay .nI decided to upgrade to full insurance coverage at pick up .Therefore no ridiculous deposit was required. I then got a bonus upgrade, I also requested a GPS so I received another upgrade. The Equinox SUV made for a terrific drive, my girls loved it.nTop marks to the Carins Redspot staff, cleaning crew and Tony

Analyzed the market before deciding to go with Red Spot. Price was excellent. I arranged separate cover for the $4000 excess at Tripcover at an acceptable price. Pickup procedure was quick and staff member was very efficient. Drop off procedure was also quick and easy. I would use them again.

Great value for money, flexible collection and drop off times, guy at the desk was really friendly and helpful (even gave me some recommendations of places to go whilst I was in QLD). Quick and easy process. Only criticism is that drop off zone and where to take keys etc could be better indicated. Otherwise great, would use again!
