Mighty Campers Cairns

Recently hired a mighty motorhome. It was very noisy on the road, we paid extra for table and chairs and they were not on the camper, the toilet door fell off during the trip. The ABS light and service light came on. The bed was broken. And a number of other things went wrong It took two hours to be able to get the keys. The service was not great. I wouldn't use them again.

I booked my camper just a few months before my trip to Australia, I booked on their website with use of the chat function which was really useful to get a quote and have questions answered. I booked a mighty deuce, it was the smallest camper that included a shower and toilet which I wanted just in case I couldn't get access to one whilst travelling the East Coast of Australia. It was a massive unit! Could sleep three, cooker, fridge, air conditioning, tv, plug sockets, sat nav, radio and chairs and tables provided to sit outside if I wanted. I can't say it wasn't expensive but I as a solo traveller I wasn't able to split with anyone. Price goes up slightly when you add additional passengers and drivers. The only downside to renting such a large camper was parking during the day when passing through areas.nI picked up my camper in Cairns and the staff were wonderful, really helpful and interested in my journey. Gave me a tour of the camper and how to use everything, some ideas for stops for food and routes to take. They also helped in setting up the necessary toll accounts, which I would have been completely caught out by otherwise!nThere are also some small discounts at certain campsites when you book with Mighty, take advantage wherever you can!nI had two small problems on the road, one of which I was lucky to find fixed itself and another I was given an addresses for a garage the next morning and was told they would settle up remotely, so there was no issue with me having to pay for the service.nI dropped off in Melbourne after a month and it was a quick check in process as I upgraded to a faster checkout. Totally worth it, also check in on the opening times of the centres as I they open and close earlier than you may think.
