First Class experience, very helpful staff would were able to source the vehicle we needed and went out of there way to make the process trouble free, and the vehicle itself exceeded our expectations.

Went in to get a mine spec ute, didn’t expect to get mine spec behaviour!nWe were served by the manager Cynthia, she was so unbelievably rude, snappy and had an all around terrible attitude - as far as we could tell, for no reason what so ever. I’m not sure if it had been a long day or something, but my college and I both said it’s some of the worst service we have had, solely due to the way we were treated by Cynthia. Truly unacceptable! Everything else was great, however i will not be returning to to thrift again on Cynthia’s account. Service is everything! 1/10 from me.

Very easy and hassle free rental

We returned the rental car according to schedule with full tank petrol at 10am on the day it was due, a staff member gave us the all clear once the car was checked in. Two weeks later I unintentionally discovered an unknown charge being deducted from my credit car by Thrifty Car Rental. I called them to find out what it was for, they then claimed their record shows we’ve returned the car at 4pm on that day. I challenged the validity of their claim and stated at no point in time was I informed of this additional charge or consented to it. Within a few hours they sent me an invoice (for the first time) with the falsified returned time on the invoice, justifying their underhanded business practice of behind your back extra fee charges and falsifying car return records. Warning, these people looks to scam you from your blind spots. Their business name would be more accurate as Shifty Car Rentals.

Was told during hiring process that a trolley would be provided. On picking up the truck, was then advised that their one and only trolley (?) was unavailable and they were waiting for it to be returned “that day”. After contacting them at 4pm I was then told the trolley was not back until the following day. At midday the next day I was advised the trolley was still not available and WOULD I LIKE TO GO AND BUY ONE FOR THEM FROM BUNNINGS and they would deduct the cost of the trolley from the rental charge.nIn the interim, I was forced to rent the truck for an additional day as all heavy items (fridge, couch, etc), had to be moved manually. Poor communication and bad equipment management. Would not recommend at all.
