Horrible experience. I hired a Toyota hybrid to drive up to Noosa. Flew up the weekend from Sydney especially. The car had a broken mirror and exposed wires so should not have been available to hire initially. After stopping in for breakfast we could not get back in the car as the card reader was not working. An hour later after being on hold and waiting for an RACQ technician I was told the car was immobilised and I would not be able to use it. OK, no problem I thought, I will just cancel my booking and get a refund and book another. Go get then informed me I cannot do that and I have to wait with the car until it has been towed away. Needless to say my day and trip was ruined. No common sense, constantly pushing liability back to me and not taking ownership of the problem.nnWould Not recommend.
