After a bad experience at the Comet car rental next door we decided to go with Budget/Avis. Cassie was excellent - she gave us a thorough report of the condition of the car (which we didn't get at Comet) and also pointed out the $0 excess option. She also showed us the best deal and upgraded our car to a larger model at no extra cost. I would thoroughly recommend using Budget/Avis for car rental in Port Douglas

Got the car we requested in no time at all from Cairns airport, everything was okay for 2 days and then it had an issue, rang Avis and the very next day in Port Douglas the team at Avis there had us back on the road. Excellent service all round, highly recommend.
Very helpful office, set up my Bluetooth in the jeep compass (excellent to drive, especially with cruise control) and ensured I was happy with driving an automatic for the first time. Better customer experience than many other car rental offices!
