Budget Car & Truck Rental Darwin City

Was quite disappointed with the service. Our flight was delayed and the office closed at 4pm so we had to pick our car up the next day and no effort was made to assist us or discount our hire. The price we were quoted went up significantly when we picked up our car for no reason, and the KM on the car speedo were 15 more than what was on the paperwork before we even started to drive. We found the staff quite rude and very unwilling to be helpful. Won't be hiring with Budget again.

no up grade available, automatic upgrade on booking site...disappointed.ncar older, well used and sticky steering wheel. Covid precautions not done ? between sharers...bit of a worry. cheap rental. however.

They didn't take the call, not very welcoming staff when we picked up, not very efficient turn around of customers when dropping the car back.

Lots of weird rules that I haven’t encountered anywhere else. You’re only allowed to drive 100km or 200km each day before you get billed for each kilometre over. The insurance only covers you if your accident is within 50km of Darwin CBD, and you’re not covered if something happens to the vehicle between dusk and dawn. What’s even more annoying is there’s no after hours drop off—if you want to return the vehicle after 4pm, you have to go to the airport. And that’ll incur an extra charge.
