Hired a car in Cairns. Shuttle was waiting for us. Fast check in. Staff were all really helpful and nice. Car was in great condition. Return was super easy and quick. Shuttle back was waiting and arrived at the airport in plenty of time. They were much cheaper than others so I’d happily use them again.

The staff at East Coast Car Rentals that I have dealt with (4) have all been very friendly and helpful. The Shuttle from the airport was quick to arrive and the driver was great. When I arrived at the depot, I discovered that my booking was made through a US website that pays a motsa to advertise with Google and who probable broke a number of Australian Laws with regards to advertising (to add insult to injury this overseas company charged me in US dollars, so I got slugged with an internation transaction fee). These companies are to be avoided. They falsely advertise and make comparisons and statements that are untrue. Anyway, back to East Coast Car Rentals... The staff on the service counter that day explained what the problem was with my booking and that it was going to cost me another $1,000 up front to use this "cheaper" website. When I spoke to them about my concerns, the staff honoured the cheaper rate and gave me a better vehicle. It ended up costing the same to deal with East Coast Car Rentals directly rather than a dodgy overseas website and I didn't need to pay the extra grand. The car was great, their check-in was very thorough and the car even had a full tank of fuel, unlike some others I have hired. Very professional and great service. Keep up the good work.

Staffs were nice, shuttle driver was extra nice and everyone there were very informative. Most cars seemed pretty new, our car was also very new and clean. Not a single problem with it, whole process was fast and smooth from picking us up from the airport to dropping us back at the airport at the end of the trip. absolutely amazing team won’t hesitate to do business with them again!

Smooth process, lady at the counter was very helpful and informative, car was very clean and relatively new with no issues and turned out to be cheaper than the other companies. Will definitely hire through East Coast car rentals again next time we are in the Gold Coast!
