Sixt Car Rental Sydney

They provided excellent service. We booked online from Argentina and they met all our expectations. They were very kind, and the vehicles were impeccable.

I was really excited to be able to leave this review!! We chose SIXT purely on availability and price and although we were a little worried about their ratings, we also had to take the chance. We are SO HAPPY we did. I'm unsure if there is new management or what has changed, but we don't have a single bad word to say. The price was very affordable, the car was new, clean and in great condition. The staff, unsure of her name, but we couldn't have done it all without her when we arrived and even upon return, the staff took us to our hotel instead of the airport and helped us with a very fast check in the car experience. Another big note, unfortunately we were running late on our return, due to the traffic, fires etc. They only charged us in 2hr blocks instead of a day rate. Will definitely use them again, and feel they deserve the chance from others. Thanks everyone at SIXT!!

Worst experience I ever had. Terrible. My family came to visit me all the way from overseas and we decided to book a car with this company. We had previously rented in the US with good results. But at Sydney, believe me, it was awful. First, they say they are located in the airport and to get there you have to wait 20 minutes for a shuttle and then a 15 minutes ride. When you get there, due to the insufficient staff you have to wait for at least another 20 minutes. Until that ok, disappointing but I was so happy with my family being here that I didn’t care so much about all the waiting time. But the worse was about to happen...We completed all the documentation, paid for the car, and when we went to get the car, I don’t have words to describe the condition in which the car was. Not only it was all smashed on the outside and with parts hanging which seemed that it will tear into pieces, but even worse the inside was all dirty (floor, mats, seat covers) and also a lot of the interior broken. Imagine that when the poor lady started to inspect the car, she felt so ashamed about the car conditions that was all the time saying sorry. After seeing that, we called the manager, he assumed the car was in extremely poor conditions, and his excuse was that they had a lot of cars out of service due to a big storm. Ok, I can get that... But, can’t he advise me before wasting 3 hours of my time and having paid for the car, that the car was in terrible conditions? I made the reservation a month in advance...Couldn’t he send me an email after the big storm advising that the company was in a shortage of cars and that this might Happen? I honestly don’t understand how a company can be so unprofessional and give to a customer a car in those conditions. How did the story end? One of the staff told me “good luck finding another car”, and I had to ask for a refund which they told me I will get approximately in a week. Conclusion, my family holidays in Australia started with a waste of time of 3 hours, -1500$ on my account, searching for a car on another Company and what most hurts me is that my family got a very bad first impression of Australia.
