Rude customer service. Counter staff try to rush you through the vehicle check and signing extra fees for insurance. Any questions are met with aggression! They were annoyed when we wanted to check the car before signing off on the condition report. The counter staff were extremely condescending (to quote: "What? What?") when asked questions about the forms and did not listen when told Thrifty's corporate program reduces the insurance excess. And when we returned the car with a full tank they argued it was 4L short! Charged us $13 for that. If you must use Thrifty, avoid Alexandria. The Darlinghurst branch is professional and courteous.

Absolutely disgusting customer service with a complete lack of regard for personal safety. I was told to ‘just get here by then’ when I rang to say I’d be late after needed to have break from a long drive after a near miss accident because of another drivers recklessness which was reported to the police. I am absolutely appalled and I will never rent from Thrifty again. One of their company values is ‘humility’ which is an absolute joke. After the clerk spoke to me inappropriately, the manager did nothing except back them up and the customer service line looped my complaint back to the location rather than onto other levels of management. Thrifty don’t care about anything or anyone except money.

Awful place. No where to park so my wife had to drop me off. Then when I went to collect the hire car they needed my physical card because they only have a swipe credit card machine. Even though I had my credit cards on my phone like most people. Wouldn’t accept the credit card number if we have them over the phone. In the end had to get my wife to back home and pick up our cards to pay.

RUDE AND DODGY DO NOT RENT A VEHICLE FROM HERE They failed to provide a vehicle for the time it was requested 7am, they printed out paperwork 8am and made you wait till 8:30am. I called and confirmed that I will only need to return the car at 9am so I returned the car at 9am and got charged for an extra day. Very dodgy. I decided to take it to fair trading to get my money back.
