No staff bothered to move from front counters to assist. Clearly hiking boots worth $269 + other item is not enough inspiration to do the job of customer service. Only for the fact the boots were desperately needed, next time we will buy directly from Merril online. So many Mackay stores have horrendous customer service like this. Be careful what you wish for the adage says... not wanting to serve customers may end businesses in the position of not having customers to serve. As ecommerce explodes and bricks&mortar buildings close down, shop owners will lament because there'll be no longer the inspiration for customers to leave the comfort of their homes to buy. Anaconda Townsville rocks, Mackay needs a serious attitude adjustment.
