MIA Nightclub

Venue is tiny and ceilings are very low, and it doesn’t feel like there is any air ventilation. Drinks are overpriced, staff are extremely rude. I checked in my jacket, and misplaced my coat check number ticket. I wanted to leave around midnight, and I described to the coat check ladies exactly what my jacket looked like. They told me I couldn’t have my jacket back because I didn’t have my number ticket. I asked to speak to a manager, and they called this younger guy over to talk to me who they claimed was the manager. I offered to pay to get my jacket back, or give them a photo of my ID; I just wanted to get my jacket back and leave. The ‘manager’ took this as an opportunity to hit on me and ask for my number, saying that he lived right by the club and that he’d call me the next day, and open the doors to the club for me himself to get me my jacket back (they were not supposed to be open that next day). I told him I wanted my jacket back that night and was not interested in meeting up with him the next day, so they made me wait until 3am to get it back. Between the awful layout of this venue, the overpriced drinks, and rude staff, I wouldn’t go back even if it was the only club in Vancouver.

Saw Shiba San here recently and had an excellent night! Great sound and friendly, professional staff. Men's bathroom is in dire need of repairs though.

Awesome end to our night. We had difficulty finding street parking but we found paid parking that was nearby with an abundance of space. Other clubs that night had long lines; we didn't have much time in Vancouver, so I was thankful for that. All the staff was very nice to me and my buddies; the hostess and bouncer working at the entrance that Saturday was very helpful; the club has a very intimate feeling, small and cozy; sound system was great and the cost of a beer was average. I am not sure if we had to purchase a table but we sat at one without any problems. The blonde bartender working that night tho.

A unique nightclub that has solid music and a defined design. Entry is about 20$ as of review but it's worth a visit

Small tinny speakers. Small venue. Bad, awkward layout. Can't recommend it unless you're seeing a specific artist. Sadly lots of my favourite DJ's still get booked here.
