Canadian Tire

I've been here 4yrs. And since my first bad customer service experience in this place I've tried to avoid it. But recently I needed to buy something there for my business. It had been so long since id been there I didn't think about what happened before. This time an even worse experience. Omg I've worked in customer service most of my life. I've taken public relations. This store has the worst PR I've encountered. Go in a good mood come out in a horrible mood. I usually can recover quickly from bad service I don't let it ruin my day. But this time it ruined my effin day. I'm so blown away by the extremely poor management of this store. I see I'm not the only one. So many bad reviews. How do they keep getting away with their horrible customer service? Is it because they have no competition here? That shouldn't be an excuse. I'm seriously thinking of making a video of this place and interviewing the owner. And write up some articles. Spread the word how bad this place is. I'll choose a store in the city from now on. Update: Well apparently they are recently under new management. Sounds like things might get better, I really hope so. The new manager is really nice and actually emailed me and apologized. He sounds very professional and genuine. I needed a garbage can lid and he gave me one he had. That was actually above and beyond. But I really appreciated it. Thanks Mike!

Awesome place, awesome people. Everyone here will go out of their way to help you. Some people need to remember that the pandemic has caused the manufacturers to not have all items readily available, this is not the stores fault...

It's a small Candian Tire as far as locations go, but they've got a great cross-section of stuff overall. They have all of the tool and houseware needs covered - the only real blindspot seems to be the sporting goods (specifically hunting/camping). Great staff and - after all - it's Canadian Tire!

I walked into the Sechelt Canadian Tire on the morning of Sunday November 15th, 2020 minutes after opening in a bit of a rush. The store was not super busy. I was looking for a multimeter for voltage testing of a battery. I saw a staff member named Aaron his name tag just said manager. Hi I am looking for a multimeter showed him a picture of a product on my phone. It says it’s in aisle 12. I am near aisle 12 but as you know sometimes the internet can be wrong. Aaron “Then it’s in aisle 12” But where in aisle 12? Aaron “Where do you think it would be in aisle 12” I don’t know that’s why I am asking you. Aaron “ I don’t even know what that is” (or something to that effect) Aaron “Why are you giving me attitude?” I am not giving you attitude your voice is heightened you haven’t helped at all I looking a digital multi meter. After walking down the crowded aisle full of electrical stuff I do happen to see a single multimeter that I am looking for but it is not all that prominent. I grab it and say this is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had at a Canadian Tire. “Ok” (I can not confirm that he actually said this but the tone really was “whatever” ) and he walked away. I ask the cashier who the manager of the store is she says there a picture of him above customer service. I check out and go to customer service I can’t find a picture of anyone. I ask customer service if the store manager is in. A guy in t-shirt comes up no name tag can I help. I explain the above his first response is. “Well I haven’t heard his side of the story” I say i work in retail and this is absolutely no way to treat a customer especially if your a manager. A employee with two weeks of training would: • Listen to the customer • Help if you are knowledgeable about the area • Get help from someone more knowledgeable if your unable to help ( Aaron certainly had a radio on ) None, absolutely none of these things happened from the very start of my interaction with Aaron. I won't be back to that CDN Tire store any time soon.
