Basically have to use self checkout. Large selection of a lot.

Just your typical Canadian Tire. Lots of parking. No wait to get in.

Visited store today. Wanted to purchase 2 boxes of green Christmas lights and 3 extension cords. I checked stock before I left 277 cords in stock and 52 lights in stock. Lights could not find and asked. The story is...they are received but still in the receiving area...and are not out yet. So I say I checked stock, drove from Maple Ridge, and will leave with none. Oh, I will see if I can find them. I left my partner with him and went to find the extension cords which were there. So now my partner is receiving and long story why we can’t buy the lights. And suggested that if we like we could go to Langley as they have 252 sets. I am now at the check out with one real cashier and the self check out. I waited and waited and waited for that one cashier and let others go ahead of me so they could self check out. There was some one running around like a chicken with head cut off organizing the customers at the self check out. I keep waiting and the guy checking out and the real cashier keeps chatting and chatting and he offers to show her pictures of his cat. So no lights, false inventory levels of availability of stock from my perspective, an unacceptable level of real cashiers.....I left the cords and left the store.....and with no lights either. System wise it’s all there.....local management wise.....hopeless.

Just wanted to share a great experience that we had on Saturday 12 Dec 2020. I was looking for an item that was on the flyer but not on the floor for display. I asked Alex for assistance and he was amazing. He went to the storage area and found the two heavy items and brought them out amidst a lot of other holiday shoppers requesting assistance as well. Alex dealt with everybody in a very professional and polite way as he went about his task at hand. Well done Alex and well done Canadian Tire Port Coquitlam! Sincerely Dave Mayhew

We found what we were looking for and will have to visit more often as haven't been there for a long time.
