RONA Richmond

A local mainstay for years in Richmond. Has a good selection of what most weekend warrior home repair folks are looking for. Prices for the most part are a bit higher than Home Depot but it is local, less crowded and usually a quicker in and out. Parking can be a problem at times as the lot out front is small. Only downside is the lack of a garden center. Just a small selection of plants in the spring.

Do not come here. Service is straight up hostile. The employees there are very rude and try to help as minimally as possible. A bunch of answers they gave were "I don't know" and they offered next to no advice. There issues are further amplified once I went to Home Depot. There the employees were so much more helpful and friendly. They solved my problems quickly. I urge you not to go to Rona.

In buying bulk tubing, a customer service person needs to cut and tag it for me. There was a customer service by the aisle of tubes for appliances helping someone so I asked him when he's done if he can help me, waited 10 minutes but when another customer went to him, he helped that person before me. I was so frustrated so I went and looked for another person, took awhile to find but he helped me right away. I liked going to Rona for location is convenient but the service there is really bad. Please do better.

Don't come here during pandemic. Saw 2 customers without masks. Worse is some staff are only wearing face shields that protect their eyes, but do nothing or little to protect customers from those employees. Consider other hardware stores!

I was looking for some pluming fittings recently, first went to Home Depot and was told that what I’m looking for does not exist! Then went to Rona and in a few seconds they gave me all the matching parts I needed! Very knowledgeable but could be a bit more friendly.
