avoid canadian tire stores for auto repairs ! they overfilled engine oil in my suv .

I worked at a Canadian Tire when I was a kid. Actually a few stores. This Canadian Tire, however, is appalling. I'm embarrassed for the brand. Shelving, tags, empty homes, stock showing on the website and nothing is anywhere to be found. In-season areas are empty and a disaster while the skeleton crew staff fill and face areas that are not busy. Clearly a person with a disability, I was not offered help, not once. I knew it would have been for not anyway, since the low stock level on the boat accessory I wanted meant they likely don't have it, or its behind some dusty box in the warehouse and nobody would put the effort in to find it. Pretty tragic, really. Begrudgingly, I bought something that they DID have... So all was not lost. The cashier was nice, but didn't ask me for my Triangle card or if I was a member. So, I still needed this part. I drove to the Scott Road Canadian Tire, which I should have just done in the first place. At least they had what they said they had. Shelves had stuff on them and there were staff to ask for help. I was asked if I needed help, even, which is strange at Canadian Tire these days. Customer service isn't #1 there. All the staff are thinking about is getting their fills done, and facing so they can leave before 11pm. Get it together, Newton. Fix it. Actually, unless I'm utterly desperate I won't be back to your store anyway, so, fix it, don't fix it, I don't care.

They are on sale on all their gym equipments and most are on clearance. I got a good deal on a exercise bike which they were selling for $1999.95 before but now on clearance for $699.99 and they still have 14 left on their inventory. Come check them out you might find something if you take a look :)

Some of your employees are not your best assets. Neither are your management skills. Sorry to say. You ask them about a product, they point in a direction.Another one tells you a wrong aisle. Yet another one correctly tells you an aisle number. All of the above forgot to the basic rule of showing customer where the product is.So I deduct one star. Then customer finds his item in locked space, so one has to find help again. Finally, she comes with a key and i point out the item, she gives it to me, then wants it back,because SHE has to take it to the front , not the customer. No cameras ? Complete lack of trust. Deduct another star. Standing in line, another cashier wants me at her till, but i can't now, because my item is with a different cashier. Wait in line another 10 minutes, so the total time taken to buy a small item is 25 minutes in the store, and exposure to many, in this day and age, is unacceptable. Deduct 2 stars. By rights, my rating of this Canadian Tire is really generous. Someone younger would have given them a 0..
