· June 1, 2018 I met Bill Okos about 3 years ago, when I 1st moved to Summerland. I had him install a K & K Pure Mini pickup on my new Martin D 35. I asked him if he had much experience with Martins? "Oh, I worked at the factory in Nazareth Pa. in the '80's!" was the reply. I couldn't believe my luck! Then he did a small job on my Rickenbacker 330 12. Then he refinished my 72 Tele. It plays and looks better than brand new. He filled major holes I'd carved in it over the years. The final paint job was fabulous. The before and after pics are attached below/ His biggest job for me was to repair the rear body binding, on my 91 Martin D 12 28. The binding stuck to the case lining as I pulled it out, ripping it and the finish. I was heartbroken. Because of how well he repaired it, I have to show you where it was repaired. I tell anyone that has a fretted instrument, that if needs just a setup, to a full on restoration, SEE BILL OKOS! His Laughing Tree custom guitars are some of the finest looking and well thought out instruments available today. They play and sound so gorgeous. I could drop some serious names of past and present customers, but I'll let Bill do that when you drop by the shop.
