Mallard Lounge

One of the most beautiful spaces in Whistler. The lounge at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler. We stopped by late in the afternoon after a long walk. Excellent service. We split a Cobb salad and a steak salad. Both were outstanding. Besides the food it was just so nice to sit at our table and watch as the last of the light faded away through the tall glass windows.

Nice ambiance, really liked the Live music. Drinks are very expensive, but I guess that's to be expected. Food was fine. The veggie curry my friend had looked super tasty.

Mellow entertainment, great patio, and a fantastic menu for a lounge. (The lake Louise Steelehead never disappoints! As a burger or otherwise). The cocktail prices are definitely a turn off when you'd like to have more than one, however the $26 Duck in the Fog Cedar infused Gin cocktail is worth ordering, not only for its impeccable nod to a sour, but also for the presentation and display.

The Mallard's "Duck in the fog" and the warm relaxed chateau atmosphere was the evening's takeaway, even if you can only afford one..... it was well worth a try. Safe and clean and far from the pandemic, Well managed the food was quality from the giant meatball to the trout and our 4 year old got to eat free on the kids menu!! The staff was friendly and sharp, And only one quack in the whole pond. Just a splendid anniversary celebration.

Stayed at the hotel and dined at the mallard lounge both nights. Food was great, but service was exceptional, particularly Sarah, Stephen and Isami. All so friendly and professional! Definitely worth checking it out if you're in the area!
