VFS Global are awful, made getting a VISA almost impossible. After multiple back and forths, I gave up on trying to get a visa from the french embassy. My other destination was in Germany, it took them 15 minutes to complete the submission and I got my visa in less than 2 weeks. The difference between professionals and whatever VFS call themselves is pretty evident

I've e-mailed this company several times over the last 2 years simply to have them confirm that I have dual citizenship. They respond to my e-mails asking for more information and when provided, they stop responding completely.

DO NOT APPLY FOR FRENCH VISA!!!!! France has outsourced it's visa process to a company called VFS Global who then sends the application to the consulate general in Montreal, even if you apply in Toronto. My husband and I waited for more than one month for a reply from the government and got the notification to go pick up his passport only THREE DAYS before our flight. We were not notified beforehand that it was denied so when we arrived there and got the denied paper we were shocked and understandably very upset. We lost more than $5,000 on this trip, all non refundable. I am an EU citizen, our son is an EU citizen. We provided the consulate with bank statements, birth certificates, marriage certificates, house title here in canada to show that we have no interest in staying in France, full flight and hotel itinerary, bank statements, business papers, EVERYTHING possible and imaginable and yet we were refused with the reason saying that "the information provided to justify the purpose and conditions of the intended stay are unreliable". My husband has expired Schenghen visas from other EU countries in his passport, showing that he has traveled often to EU and ALWAYS returned home. The US government granted him a 10 YEAR visa!!!! If the most suspicious government in the world is giving such a long visa to someone, why does France think it right to refuse a visa, under what reasons? On top of it they have the face to write on the back of the paper that you can challenge this decision but give you no information on how to do it. This service is pitiful, as a EU citizen I am DISGUSTED by this. We were supposed to go meet my husband's father in Paris so he could spend some time with our one year old son. After all the money we have lost our son won't be able to see his grandfather for another year, causing irreparable damage to our family. Apply ANYWHERE ELSE in Europe, but DO NOT apply to the racist French Government.

The website is terrible and not user friendly. Some of the information you fill out online won't even show up when you print it out. And the documents they request upon submission isn't even listed on the required documents page.
