Bed Bath & Beyond

It's a good store for browsing and finding cool gadgets and whatnot but some of their merchandise is somewhat overpriced and their sales associates are not accessible to help or answer questions. I stood waiting and looking around for assistance for almost 10 minutes and saw no one working on the floor. I finally stopped a guy working there to assist. No name tag so I'm not sure of his name, who told me he was busy but could help me though. I'm assuming he was a manager as he authorized a price override. But I do enjoy shopping there so I'll be back.

Good service, excellent return policy, and helpful staff

This evening I just have had the worst customer service experience in Bed Bath & Beyond on their West Broadway location. It was absolutely unacceptable, and I am at the bringe of turning away from the chain as a customer. After I collected everything I needed, I went to the cashier to pay. I realized that one of the items I picked up was faulty, so I asked Kalen, who was at service: "Is that okay if I go back to switch this to a different one?" he said: "Sure, no problem." I went to the aisle, quickly switched the item, but surprisingly when I went back, I realized that was Kalen already serving another customer, so without saying anything I just waited in line behind that customer. I thought that he might wanted to serve someone very quickly, not knowing when I come back. However, when this customer has already left the cashier, Kalen asked another person to come, and that was the time when I stepped forward and said: "Excuse me, I went to the back to change this faulty item. You said that it's okay. You did not say that I have to go back to the end of the line." Without acknowledging my concern, and continuing serving the other customer, he said that: "I can't wait for you, I have other customers to serve." I said: "There would not be any problem with that, but you have to tell me that this is gonna happen, and it's not okay if I go back to change the faulty item to a good one, so I can plan accordingly, or you can ask one of the staff to change it for me." He was huffing and puffing not liking that I was right in front of that other customer. This unprofessional behaviour was very embarassing for the other lady being served and for me to. When the customer finished, Kalen not realizing his utter failure in this situation he said: "YOU ARE LUCKY THAT I EVEN LET YOU SKIPPING THE LINE." I asked if he is serious with this comment, and if he thought that this behaviour was okay. He continued to huff and puff, made me feel like a should pay for him because he serves me. He comment, and this whole scenario is completely unacceptable from an employee of Bed Bath & Beyond, a reputable organization here in Canada and beyond its borders. He completely ruined an otherwise good shopping experience with his wrong attitude. I truly hope that there will be repercassions in this case. I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service of Bed Bath & Beyond, and I'm truly shocked that there was no supervisor present to realize what was happening.

The cashier was fantastic. She Told me about the 20% off and walked me through the steps to find it through "my offers' so patient! West Broadway location.

This was my second time visiting this store and it was very pleasant and easy to get around. There's lots of space to walk and aisles are clear. All the areas are very clearly labeled and inventory is easy to find. Staff were professional and courteous.
