MUJI Robson Street

Today I was going to get some stocking stuffers. It was a rainy day and my son had his favourite umbrella from the Vancouver Art Gallery and didn’t want to leave it on the entrance. I asked the greeting person if we could shake umbrella and not leave it there but he said no, you can only enter if you leave umbrella on the entrance. We had our masks on etc and I don’t think having an umbrella with us could really put anyone in danger. I don’t think I want to ever go back to that place again.

This store offers some really great, clean products. They recycle, upcycle and turn-cycle is the healthiest way possible. I am a small rib cage woman and their products size S work well for me. No chemical odors given off from their lovely cotton rugs.

On Sunday I experienced terrible service, walked over 8 blocks to go to this store, sign on the door said "face coverings encouraged" nothing about being mandatory, was refused entry for not having a face mask, asked if they provided them since most stores that require them provide face masks, but was told they sell them, "3 masks for $9.99" we usually carry face masks however simply forgot to grab them on our way out and were halfway to the store before we noticed. Had looked online and knew exactly what we were gonna purchase. However we will order online from another retailer as I do not wish to do business with a company that states one thing on their signs and has a completely different policy when you enter the store, while also trying to charge you exuberant prices for 3 masks.

Great service and friendly staff. I had a very comfortable experience shopping at Muji.

We spent a solid 40 minutes walking around the store browsing. We were never once offered help or assistance. Instead we were followed around very closely by the same staff member until we bought our items and left.
