Embassy Suites by Hilton Toronto Airport

Beautiful lobby and the rooms are well laid out. However it was so hot we could barely stand it. Even our kids were just melting. When we called downstairs because we couldn't get the heat to lessen at all by turning the temperature down we were told to just open a window. We did this (although I really think in late November there should be a better option). However when we needed to sleep and didn't want the window open the temperature once again climbed. All night we couldn't sleep because of this. Unless this is fixed I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here

This hotel used to be a Quality Suites... They renovated it really well and the rooms turned out really nice, the lobby is very nice and modern. As a frequent Hilton guest and an elite Hilton Honors member, they just don't live up to Hilton standards at all... they continue to run a Quality Suites. They encourage you to skip check in and use mobile and in doing so they don't communicate with guests at all regarding their services, or lack thereof. During our stay, they didn't clearly communicate breakfast times, provide any housekeeping or amenities (you had to go get everything yourself - they wouldn't even bring you something if you asked for it) and the staff had an attitude as if they were doing you a favor by being there. So for 3 nights, I had piles of overflowing trash until they told me to put it in the hallway (then it stayed there for hours and hours) and when I opened up the sofa bed, their commitment to cleanliness showed with blood stains on the sheets. So overall, their "commitment to cleanliness" was not much of a commitment. Of course, when I checked out, there was no one to complain to because the front desk agent didn't even bother to ask if I enjoyed my stay. So much for elite status... This is not representative of Hilton, just this particular owner/operator.

Nice looking hotel on the surface but fell short from my usual Hilton branded experience. The woman in the front desk for check-in was exception. Very helpful and courteous. Room was clean but not laid out like a usual embassy suites. No bar of soap in the room for my shower but the real problem was it was hot and I turned on the fan to circulate the air. It got hotter and hotter even though I had the thermostat set at 60F! I called the front desk and apparently there is no AC and the only way to cool things down was to open a window. So instead of sleeping at 11pm, I had to open up the blinds in my boxers and stay awake for the next 3 hours trying to cool down while listening to the noise of traffic. Additionally there was no way this was a Hilton bed in the room. It was uncomfortable and after finally getting to sleep at 3am I woke up 3 hours later with a headache Didn't get a chance to get any breakfast because I had to leave at 6:45am and they didn't open until 7am for some reason. No to go bags with a muffin or juice or anything.
