Consulate General of Poland in Toronto

Had to renew my passport during the COVID period. From March to June it was understandably closed except for urgent matters with appointment. In July they made available an on-line appointment tool. I booked an appointment for end of July. I arrived and had no wait. The staff was professional and polite and followed proper safety procedures. I was done in less then 15 minutes. I was told my passport would be ready for pick-up in 6-8 weeks and was given a number to check on-line for status. Today I saw it was ready in only 5 weeks!

Amazing service by the Consulate General of Poland in Toronto! I applied for my Polish Passport on October 1st, 2020 and my Passport was ready for pickup on November 16th, 2020. The process was very quick and efficient, once you apply you will be issued a tracking number so you can check to see when your Passport is ready for pickup. The Staff are very kind, helpful and professional, if you have any questions or concerns be sure to call ahead or email prior to making any appointments, to avoid any issues. I want to personally thank the Consulate General of Poland in Toronto Staff for their outstanding service, Dziękuję Ci bardzo!

If you try to call, you are being directed to the website where no useful information is provided (no possibility to talk with anybody). If you email, you don’t get an answer. If you make an appointment, you finally get a call and and get no support just an information to go to an office in Poland. I don’t think I am the first person that wants to exchange the driving license in Canada, but it feels like my case is helpless.

Extremely rude receptionist at the visa desk. Does not try to understand and does not let you complete the sentence. People of different colours are mistreated by her. I could not understand her behavior. Male staff at the legal matters desk is extremely professional and well behaved.

I recently went there to apply for my Polish passport. I had all of my documentation prepared, but I didn't know my PESEL number. The receiving agent looked up my details on the computer and wrote down my PESEL number on the application. It was quick to submit my application and I didn't have any problems. I image that people write negative reviews because they don't have their documents in order.
