When we arrived at the inn to check in we were given keys and directed to our room. Unfortunately it was not the room that we had booked and wasn’t really suitable or very nice. After a slightly odd conversation with the manager where we were given 2 options as we did not want to stay in the room; take a refund and find somewhere else to stay at 6pm on a Sunday night, or pay $90 to upgrade to a different room. We took the latter option. The upgraded room was stunning to look at - very spacious, lovely bathroom and nicely decorated bedroom. It was, not clean though; there was a dark ring around the bathtub, there were cobwebs everywhere, dead bugs on the windowsills, and only about half of the lights in the bedroom were working. Also, there were no hot breakfast options on offer. Overall we were not made to feel very welcome, and didn’t feel particularly comfortable during our stay. It looks like a lot of care and attention went into this place some years ago, unfortunately it doesn’t look like it’s being run with any care or attention anymore. I wouldn’t recommend.

Service was very poor, breakfast was not good and there were zero options....whole wheat toast with scrambled egg and single sausage is automatically served. Coffee comes from a kurieg machine on a table right in the sitting room. There are no refills on the coffee. Building has not been cleaned and has lots of dust and cobwebs. Room was very dusty and extremely hot and building and grounds have been let go. We learned from locals during our visit that the inn is under new ownership and being very poorly run. This was extremely evident during our stay. Our room had no working wifi or TV and when we mentioned it to staff we were made feel we were being difficult. The room was nearly double the price of nicer inns just down the street.

The Inn has fallen into a state of disrepair. So sad to see as I have stayed there maybe 10 years ago. At that time it was very impressive, a beautiful and well kept old inn. We stayed there this past weekend and it's in poor shape. The lawns weren't mowed for some time, weeds growing rampant in the flower beds and bushes, paint peeling here and there and carpets badly frayed in some places. It looks like the owners no longer care about keeping it in good condition anymore.We booked an executive suite and never got it - had to settle for a downgrade. All in all it was a disappointing experience.

We had a pleasant experience last May at Victoria's Historic Inn as we stayed here on our 3 month vacation tour of wonderful Canada. Very nice Bed & Breakfast we stayed in the back lower level Apartment Complex. Our room was clean and the bed most comfortable. We were served some awesome breakfasts. Walking distance to the downtown area of shops and restaurants and Acadia University. Would love to go back again. Kindly click the like button if this review or my photos are useful.

Filthy room hadn't been dusted, cleaned or sanitized in heaven knows how long. Cup ring stains on side tables, hair in the bedding. After cleaning with disinfecting wipes tried to sleep but left the room at 1:00am and slept in my vehicle because I couldn't stop itching in bed A COMPETE TOP TO BOTTOM THOUROUGH CLEANING AND DISINFECTING IS NEEDED
