RONA Coquitlam (Austin)

Was OK. The service is quick. Knowledgeable associates. Oh one important issue if anyone want to have return. This store does not take return items if they did not stock at the location. That is bad policy. We patronage big franchise is for convenient not hassle. Unfortunately I am bless with several real estates in different place like Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Chilliwack and Harrison Hot Spring. Rona is a DIY sector. It would be a hustle if I have to buy products from CHIlliwack and cannot return to one store in the city that does not carry the products for what ever reason. Canadian Tire, Home Depot , Walt-Mart and COSTCO does not have that policy. Your company policy need to change if you want to compete.

Staff was helpful to me and I am as handy as the male nipple is useful. They walked me through the process and got me the product I needed. More importantly I completed the minor project with no issues thats to the staffs' instructions. Not only did I walk away feeling they were helpful but on a practical level they were helpful. Thanks Rona.

Really pathetic service today, I came in and asked the cashier for assistance with key cutting. He called for key cutting assistance on the pager. I waited at least 10 minutes, no one came. He paged again. I waited some more. I asked him what is going on. He then tells me the guy who normally does key cutting is at the customer service desk, which was around the corner within eye shot. He suggested I go over there and line up to talk to him, meanwhile he would continue paging into the great unknown. The customer service guy was helping another person, so I waited a bit. After I returned to the key area, he seemingly disappeared, and the cashier did not seem to care at all, after watching me stand there for ~20 minutes patiently waiting for assistance. I ended up just leaving empty handed without ever receiving assistance or any kind of apology. As Donny T would say... "Sad!"

I work here but I'm not being biased when I say the staff are great, offer fantastic customer service, and prioritize safety of customers.

When you need hardware and real service. This is the place to go. Their prices are usually competitive and you can actually find a staff that wants to help you. You don't actually need to catch one or beg for service. It's great.
