Went in to get my skates sharpened. Super impressed and happy! I could tell the difference immediately as I stepped on the ice. Seriously, I'm not sure what the man did (he did the sharpening while I stood there, which is good, but also clearly didn't want to do a rush job, which is even better) At any rate, my skates have never been better. Either I got my skates poorly sharpened before or this guy is a total pro. I venture to guess the latter as he seems to have done this for a long time (always nice to see someone behind the counter who isn't just out of grade school). Also he took the time to answer questions and educate me on my blade options going forward. Total no-nonsense fella. Maybe slightly grumpy, but overall pretty friendly! Still blown away at how big a difference it made to how my edges feel. This is definitely going to be the only place I let sharpen my skates from now on.
