boom! Nightclub

One of the only places in Freddy where I feel comfortable being myself, however, recently they've become super pretentious and sometimes disrespectful and for that they get 1 star. It's VERY cliquey. If you're not in the 'group', they're not very nice nor will they include you in karaoke. A VERY hit or miss place.

Extremely rude staff. My friend from the US who lives here for schooling brought 5 pieces of ID incase she gets questioned about being a citizen of the united states, even though there should be no issue. The bouncer that was on the saturday night of 12 barz was extremely rude. My friend ran into the same bouncer at khrome the night prior and he would absolutely not allow her to go in dispite having proper identification. He told her she has to bring her passport. Doesn't make much sense for people to bring their passport to the bar. The bar is not a safe spot to bring such an important item. My friend called the management and the manager came downstairs and said theres no problem and let her in and the bouncer was not in the right. Then my friend went to boom the next night with 6 pieces of identification and the same bouncer from khrome was working at boom. He argued with her again saying that she needs her passport. My other friend who was accompanying her tried to find the manager to work it out and she asked the workers and they were snappy and told her to find the manager herself. Unbelievably rude service.

Horrible. This was the go to bar for Freddy. Shame on you

If I could post no stars I would. My boyfriend and I came from out of province expecting a safe and fun night. We highly suspect we were drugged and it was a horrifying experience. We are lucky to have gotten back to our hotel and had horrible side effects for days after. It ruined our want to see any of fredricton and we left the province ASAP. We knew no one in town and we could have been killed. DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to have a lot of fun when I went a few years ago. Now, I only rarely go for karaoke night. If you're looking to get really drunk, it's great because the drinks are cheep and you're not cut-off. I would be cautious and not take your eyes off your drink, as getting drugged is always a possibility; always have a friend with you. It doesn't have a large dance floor, but it's alright.
