Canadian Tire

While shopping at Canadian-Tire (North Saanich) today, my son was mesmerized by the giant stuffed teddy’s as we walked in the store. He expressed his desire for said teddy, and a staff member (pretty sure he was the manager) overheard our conversation. He then sought us out as we were shopping, told us he’d love to make my son’s dream come true and proceeded to gift him the teddy. He said he had grandchildren he missed very much around my son’s age. I try to teach my son to be kind, especially in these times. This mans actions SHOWED him in a very real and tangible way what that means. His gracious act made a profound impact on both of us. ❤️

Ya know I left a negative review a while back and I erased it because I felt bad, but after several visits I am fine with saying that half of the people working here are very pleasant and helpful. I commend them for that. The other half are just plain rude. Always complaining about being short staffed. I understand nobody likes missing their break but how about not taking it out on the customer? I’m always polite and patient with retail and customer service employees. (Perhaps too much for my own good). We would all appreciate it if you could return that sentiment. If our grim future is nothing short of big box stores, let’s at least try to retain the human element. Happy Holidays :)

found everything I needed

Placed an online online order for safety and convenience reasons. Received a Ready For Pickup email a few days later. The following day at 6:00 pm drove there to pick it up. They said I wouldn’t be able to receive the item that day as it was now “too dark”. Apparently it was not ready for pickup but was stored in a container outside which they don’t access after day light.

Ron E Stood in line for cashier for approx. 10 min. There was at least 12 of us and there was 1 cashier. No management evident to Ensure lines moving swiftly. Somebody is not doing their job
