I went to Ribble at Blue Water in Kent and spoke with Ella. She measured up the bike to fit me correctly, took me through all the options and set up the order so that’s it’s ready and saved when I receive me cycle scheme voucher. I was told in advance how long the bikes are taking to dispatch and when to expect it once ordered. Elle is brilliant at her job. She’s clearly very passionate about helping people to make the right decision. She even emailed a week later to check I didn’t have any further questions. Highly recommend this Ribble branch based on my trip there. 🚴

After paying thousands for a racing Triathlon bike back in June; 6 months later, I still have not received my bike, I haven't been given any updates as to when it will be built or delivered. When I asked the staff, they didn't have a clue either! I bought a second bike from elsewhere which took 6 weeks from the buying date, to the delivery at my house. Avoid Ribble if your looking for a bike, unless you want to wait for 3 years.

As other reviewers note, it can take some time between your order and your bike being built and delivered but then at the moment that seems to be the case for nearly all manufacturers. Be prepared for a delay and you won't be disappointed. I ordered a Ribble AL Endurance disc and it is superb in every respect. Nicely built, lovely to look at, it's perfect for winter riding. I did add my own mudguards and wheelset as I am not a huge fan of the Mavic wheels the cheaper version is specced with but otherwise couldn't be happier. A venerable British brand producing great bikes how you want them - it isn't the first time I have bought a Ribble bike and I hope it won't be the last. Just be patient. You won't remember the delay when you are out on the road enjoying your bike.

I ordered my bike around Mid-July and it was due to be delivered Mid-August. I wasn't told my bike was going to be delayed and only when I contacted Ribble that I was informed of the delay. Back then I was told the bike was due to be built and be ready in September. I did receive a call about a couple of weeks before the September date to let me know the that my bike had been printed and should be with me a week earlier than the September date I was given. As you can guess, this September date came closer without any further communication from Ribble. Again, I followed up to find out if my bike would still be on time. Again, my bike was delayed!! That lead me to have to check-in more regularly with the Ribble team. At one point I was informed that my bike had been built and was just awaiting a post-build inspection before being dispatched. This was early in the week and I was informed that my bike would be shipped to me by the end of that week. This is where Ribble's stories lose track as the next time I contact them they inform me that my bike isn't built and is still waiting for a build date (we are almost 3 months past the order date at this point). As you can imagine, I got really annoyed by this point and let Ribble know that it's my opinion that they are purposefully delaying CycleScheme orders. After reporting Ribble to Trading Standards and submitting a Subject Access Request (this allows you to see all data stored on you including customer service tickets and comments relating to those tickets) I thought I was starting to make traction when as CS agent named Ryan took the time to explain to me exactly what was causing the hold-up. Ryan also assured me that my bike would be getting built on 9th October 2020. Being as Ryan had taken the time out to explain things and did seem to care, I waited to see if Ribble would be true to their word. As you can imagine, I had been lied to again!! They still haven't even built the bike and have given me a new build date of 15th October 2020. I'm so fed up with Ribble now. The embarrassment and stress they have caused me in this whole process has lead to me seeking any possible legal support there is. I can see there have been others effected with very similar stories and I'd be happy to discuss these with them all so that we can take this further. For now, I can only encourage all of those affected to lodge an official complaint via Trading Standards and please let me know if you are aware of any legal representatives that can help us.

This company has been abysmal to deal with over the last few months, get your bike somewhere else. I ordered an electric hybrid on the 8th of June, it has still not arrived. The customer service has been terrible. Despite the fact that they have done record business there has been no discount or acceptable apology forthcoming. They have had thousands of pounds of my money for months, and delivered nothing.
