Great day out biking from Clippesby Hall Bike Hire. We are a family of 6; 2 adults and 4 children with a bike carriage for our 3 year old. Really friendly staff at the Bike Hire. Very helpful as to the route and places to see. Delicious lunch at the Crown at Catfield. Lovely route to follow and so flat. Highly recommend! Thank you!

Dreadfully old and worn out bikes. One fell apart whilst my son rode it and he hurt himself, requiring first aid. When I complained ,all I received was a shrug of the shoulders and another worn out bike to use instead. Would not hire from them again. Especially as it was over £10 a day per bike. AVOID!!!

April 2017 - we hired a bike each for my wife and I. My bike was probably 10 years old, the left pedal bearings were totally shot so it felt like the pedal was about to give way, the rear brake cable was so dry and old that the brake would not release and the whole caliper undid itself whilst riding, and the front suspension creaked and squeaked. The bike had not been maintained for a long time and was unsafe. Bike needed a thorough service or chucking in a skip. Wife's bike was a similar age. Thankfully we managed to fit our children's bikes in the caravan so did not have to make them ride bikes hired from here. For £15 a day per bike I expect better.

They have a large selection of bikes of various styles, sizes and vintages. Prices, opening times and availability are reasonable. They have bikes from 16” BMXs up to basic mountain bikes suitable for those over 6’2”. The main issue is that a lot of their stock is older and well worn basic mountain bikes (appear to be second hand) and even the newer stuff is in sore need of some basic maintenance. The staff were friendly and helpful but appear to know very little about bikes and bike sizing. More worryingly the helmets available for rent are older and many appeared to be in a very poor states of repair. Norfolk is flat and as such pretty much any bike will do for a gentle pootle but hybrid bikes would be a better option for a rental fleet than cheap, heavy mountain bikes with knobbly tyres.
