This place used to be very well organised and well managed years ago. Unfortunately the tables have turned! Some areas are well stocked but some areas had very little stock, almost like the store had been robbed! So many items were on the floor and no one was doing anything about them. This place needs new management.
Sports Direct in Brent Cross is a larger store, they have a much greater range and variety of clothes sports equipment travel accessories including suit cases and a vast range of big brand trainers, compared to some of their other branches. They also have an excellent range of kid’s school shoes which look just like dress code shoes but are comfortable trainers with minimal logos which are perfect for school wear. They also stock a wide range of backpacks for all different uses. The quality of clothing is great and the price is reasonable. Sale items and offers are often difficult to find your sizes if you have a popular size as they sell out very fast but with plenty of choice you are bound to find something that you like at a price that is right. The store can get busy at times but they tend to have plenty of staff available to help and they’re always helpful and friendly. What I found is if there is a long queue you can pay for your items at different counters on different floors unless you have items placed behind the tills while you continue to shop around this can save you a bit of time.
Horrendous experience today when trying to return shoes that disintegrated after my third time of wear. Of course I did not have my receipt as could not have ever imagined this to happen. But not even my bank transaction was valid as proof of purchase. Understandably I left the shoes with Phil, the manger as was disgusted by his attitude, lack of customer awareness and most likely ‘illegal’ under these pandemic circumstances, not bothering wearing a mask when dealing in such a public environment. Furthermore, Phil followed me outside and threw the box of shoes at me but luckily landed short on the door where they stayed as a souvenir… Awesome customer experience thanks you Sports Direct.
Just went in to buy some work shoes and had my first genuinely atrocious customer service experience. I felt belittled and bullied. After asking if she could price check the shoes as they were on sale she told me to "stand back please", I was wearing a mask and was not even very close.
I then asked if I could use my student discount, as I had put it in online earlier and it worked and so I I wondered if it would work in store, reasonable no? I was told brashly - and this is word for word - "we don't care if you're a student" to which I responded "ah, it's just that it worked online and so I wondered-" - 'BUY THEM ONLINE THEN, and stand back please". I don't know how I'm supposed to stand back and put my card in to the machine but it would require a level of dexterity and alacrity I simply don't possess, am I supposed to throw it in to the reader as if it were a Santander Ninja star - I'm tryna pay your wages!
I wish I got the name of my server so I could report her formally. All I can say is that she's a middle-aged European lady, blonde hair with a coral lipstick she was way too old to pull off and apparently even apply correctly, unrelated and mean, but so was how she treated me when I went to spend my hard earned money.
Not very busy so social distancing was good very tidy and lots of choice
