I ordered a bike in the spring and the level to service at that point was really good. They took me through lots of different options and helped me to ensure I selected the right bike for me. I returned around six months later to collect the bike and the level of service was very different. They didn’t explain anything about the bike or give me an opportunity to inspect it. There was no explanation on how to care for the bike, and they didn’t offer to set the seat and bar height for me. Really disappointing service from a independent shop with usually such a good reputation.
I took my bike for a repair to John Atkins Cycles Ltd a couple of months ago. I was first very happy to see they were doing the best trying to keep the place safe due to the pandemic. It is indeed very thoughtful of them. People working in the shop are very friendly, helpful and technical. Unfortunately an accident happened to my bike in the shop but they were very kind and fixed everything for me without even charging me. I will definitely go back in future whenever needed and 100% recommend them to everyone.
I visited the shop to buy a bike but being a complete newbie knew very little about the kind of bike that would suit me, or anything about brands. Kevin- one of the staff- was fantastic and introduced me to gravel bikes. I am absolutely delighted with the bike he suggested. John then did the set-up which took a little while and necessitated a new part, ready to fit the following week. This was done with no fuss. My new bike is a joy and this week I managed a 20 mile ride for the first time ever. Great shop, lovely people. They have helped me to feel like a confident cyclist.
Went in wanting a full sus bike, not really knowing what exactly I wanted or needed. The gentleman who served me was very knowledgeable and after having chat I ordered what looks like a fantastic bike to suit my needs, no pressure selling and very relaxed. Would highly recommend.
Bought my bike in for a rear wheel replacement, I ordered a Hope Rim which was a special order so it was made to order. I ordered that on the 5th October and it came the 6th of November, I took my bike to these guys today and they fitted the wheel and did an amazing job! I will be definitely using these guys again! 100% recommend to anyone!
