rideride is without a doubt the best bike shop in Southampton. Every time I've been there, they've been friendly, incredibly helpful, keen to share knowledge when asked, and most importantly, have fixed any problem I've had with my bikes and done so for a very reasonable price (and quite often for free if it's a minor issue e.g. when my disc brakes were rubbing). I used to live very close to the shop, and have now moved so that there are 5 bike shops closer to me - I still go here every time. As someone who usually values convenience above everything else, this says a lot.
Got the problem with my Alfine hub gear sorted in good time and at a reasonable cost. Bike now works lovely. Also staff are very friendly and welcoming and take a real interest in helping you. Other bike shops I have been to in Southampton - not so much. So even though they are now the other side of the city from me I will make the journey to get there when I need to.
Dealing with my bike was done with a full discussion before any work was done. The staff member took his time to deal with this thoroughly and all the necessary improvements were made, without extra expense and with good quality parts.
I was also left with good advisory comments so I will be prepared for the next time I visit. Excellent service!
The RIDERIDE is a very special bike shop with a team of pro bike specialists. A Southampton jewel in the middle of Bitterne. Any bikes let it be local or foriegn, are just not an issue. Most innovative and think on their feet and they love a challenge. I have just had an upgrade of my VAN MOOF eBIKE with manual hub gears, re-built wheel and hydraulic brakes by Tom and what a phenomenal piece of clever engineering he has done. The 'big bike brands' are kids in comparison. Take it from someone who has used them all and is very picky and is a very keen DIY'er.
If your bike has an issue do not waste any time, just take it to RIDE RIDE for a most professional work with competitive pricing. You can also easily park your car or trailer in the 1 hour no return slot opposite the shop.

Used Rideride for the first time. My bike needed some work around the gears. I booked a service. When I dropped the bike off, they told me I didn’t need a service but just some work done on the gears which was cheaper.
Work done very quickly. Friendly people, professional.
Will use them again and would recommend them.
