I have just returned from the Lincoln store with my wife; with no purchases. I have used this store regularly since it opened without any issues. Despite planning to spend hundreds of pounds on clothing and boots none of the assistants present showed any interest when it was obvious that help was needed finding boots of different sizes to try. In fact, the total ignorance of the staff was overwhelming we decided to leave. I asked to speak to the manager on the way out and I explained what had happened. It was explained that the staff were busy setting up a promotion. I observed that the store was full of staff with barely any customers; were they really that busy at 4pm on a Monday? When prompted, a weak apology was offered and we left. We actually really wanted to buy the trousers and boots and I had expected the manager to go out of his way to try and help us do so. Unfortunately he, like his staff, seemed totally indifferent to his customers and in making sales. We’re off to Blacks in the morning and, sadly, I feel that I’ll have to avoid GoOutdoors until its staff get their priorities right.

I actually enjoy this shop for the most part and recommend purchasing the reward card for £5.00 per year. It may sound like a waste of a fiver but if you're going to spend money here, then its well worth it - just in 2 visits I've saved over £150.00 off marked prices. They've got everything from high end outdoor clothing to value brand portable camping loos. I would love to give a rating of 5☆ but the lack of staff on the shop floor let's them down. As does finding a member of staff with a modicum of product knowledge 🤔

I love going into Go Outdoors, staff are friendly and helpful, become a member and save straight away, the £5.00 membership can be got back in just one visit.
