My wife and I visited Thorn Cycles today with the goal of ordering two custom spec’d touring bikes and luggage. We had a pre booked appointment and were met by Sarah who gave us a complete personal service, guiding us thoroughly through the order process, dedicating her time to ensure we were completely happy with our order and that the bikes would do exactly what we planned. Simply awesome!
The rear wheel on my bike collapsed on Christmas Eve. I had panniers full of presents to deliver. These guys really helped me out of a fix. They were obviously very busy but did what I needed to get on the road again. A top quality new rear wheel at a good price, they changed the cassette for me too. Much appreciated. Thanks guys :)
I bought a Thorn Raven last year. It is brilliant - solid, comfortable, a joy to ride. I can carry plenty of luggage - full camping gear with ease. Even charge my phone from the front dynamo!
I am a complete Rohloff convert now - I get up hills I never used to be able to get up. Changing gear when stationary is so useful. Just the simplicity of 14 gears sequentially on one twist grip makes it worth it.
Thorn's service is outstanding. I did have a problem with a wheel rim - the speed with which they responded and fixed it was breathtaking. If you are considering buying a touring bike - this is reason enough to choose Thorn.
All in all from the fitting service (making sure you get the right sized frame), customisation (a huge selection of features to choose from), delivery (bang on time), quality (outstanding) and after sales support (world class) Thorn are unbeatable. Hugely recommended!
