Having searched for a local bike shop whilst working in Stone, Staffs , I was pointed in the direction of the Velo Store. I was after a chain. I was offered the choice of an expensive one, a medium range one and a standard one. I opted for the standard one as I was waiting for one in the post. Imagine my surprise when the owner charged me £38 for an item that can be bought all day long online for £18-£20. If it hasn't been for the fact I needed it for a ride tonight, I would of taken my custom elsewhere. I felt totally ripped off and certainly wouldn't use them again. Buyers should be made aware of shop owners trying to make ridiculous profits from a boom in cycling....
