Pleasant shop, but don't trust the stock figures quoted on the website.
Nipped in to get a taggy blanket from the Tamworth store but they didn't have any, despite the website showing plenty in stock. I notified a member of staff that their stock was wrong but as of writing this review, they still have not amended the website.
Excellent variety and choice. Very clean and Covid safe. Staff very friendly and helpful.
One of the few decent physical toy retailers left. They did for Toys R Us which is a shame. Smyths moved with the times and survived. Prices are reasonable and often better than other online outlets. It's basically a toy warehouse, it could perhaps do with more try before you buy and more demonstrations of Toys. It's a little soulless compared to how I remember toy shops as a kid, which is why I've not given it full stars. Click and collect is a good experience here, its always been quick to pick up my purchases. One major criticism of this store is how fast the escalators are, they really don't need to be that fast up and down and I am not keen on using them.
Great Christmas shopping experience. Researched online first for what I wanted (scooters, skateboard, bike helmets, pokemon plush toys). Started with a trolley and easily found the larger items I wanted on the ground floor, with good information on the price tickets and a display of all boxed items for easy comparison. Then asked shop assistant, Josh about the pokemon plush. He couldn't have been more helpful. Ran upstairs to fetch them down for me to save me taking the trolley up. Checked prices for me on the soft toys and also gave me very helpful advice on the items I'd chosen and confirmed they would be able to keep hold of items I'd bought there and then to return and collect, if I couldn't get them into my car. Excellent service and good prices helped by a Black Friday discount against the total cost of my spend (not just particular items). Very convenient location with good parking and open until 10.00pm.
