I came to the store today (24th Dec 2020) to simply pick up what I ordered as it’s click & collect only right now.
I didn’t realise at the time but I had actually ordered 2 of the same item, so what could I do other return it there and then and put the £75 back onto my card? Plus Slough is in tier 4 so all the shops I would typically buy in are closed.
Actually no, I said to Ollie I can’t look around the store but my Son does love Mario Bros...... he asked “how old is he and what else does he like? I reeled off a number things and with that off he went. To my surprise Ollie actually came back with his arms full of toys and almost every one was perfect so I swapped the refund for some really cool toys I hadn’t thought of for my little angel.
With that one act of sincerity, exceptional & unrivalled customer service, my loyalty will remain with this store.

The best toy shop I've been to in years!
Came in today to look for a board game with my partner, and as we were browsing other areas of the shop I noticed a staff member following us. So we left that aisle and moved on just to find him following us again. We went to look at a scooter and I noticed him pointing at us and talking to his manager. So again we went to walk away but he kept following us whilst bouncing a ball or something. I understand they have to watch out for people stealing but we don't exactly fit the bill of the common thief.
A note to this employee and the manager; if I happen to resort to a life of thievery, I don’t think a £15 scrabble board would be of use to fund my advantageous life of crime.
