Just moved out of the state and looking to buy a preference point for elk (I've got 9). It says I've got to buy an annual small game or other hunting license first, thereby bringing my total cost to over $100. Why would I want to buy a non-resident hunting license when I live out of state and just want a point? There's ZERO logic to it, just charge more for the point instead of running a scam to bring in more money when we all know what you're doing. It's the same as a few years ago when they jacked up the cost of NR big game tags but justified it by adding a short term fishing license when they know hardly anyone who comes from out of state to chase big game cares about fishing. Everything about this state has gone to hell, thankful to be gone.

I applaud the entire CO Parks and Wildlife HQs for their decision to extend the application deadline by 2 days given the website issues. My son was about to be a victim of the malfunction - his entire application was complete but it wouldn't allow payment and was giving an error code that an "Application # cannot be generated." It was very upsetting. Without any prompting, the Division did the correct thing: rather than being rigid and unwilling to recognize what people were going through - the application deadline was extended. This is a fantastic, common sense, and flexible decision that shows a great degree of caring that needs to be shown by more entities now days. I applaud your leadership and decision making. Thank you -

Zero stars better articulates the bureaucracy and lack of customer service from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department. We bought a fishing license in February for the upcoming summer. We received an email today saying it was to expire in March. There was only one option on their cpwshop website for an "annual pass". Beware of their poor e-commerce user interface design, no prorating of fees based on when a purchase is made, and otherwise very unfriendly customer service from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife Department. We wasted $112 for licenses purchased in February 2021 for the summer with absolutely no understanding of how their shopping website is misleading and how charging $112 for one month is a shady practice when we believed we were purchasing an "annual pass" for this summer's use. I had state statutes quoted to me by an unfriendly government representative with an aggressive tone.

I purchased a parks pass in May of 2020. I never received my pass via mail and subsequently purchased day passes because my receipt was not accepted at the entrance to Chatfield state park which is the park that I primarily go to. When I attempted to call customer support in June 2020 I was told to wait and that there had been a backup due to Covid-19 and my pass would come in the mail soon and to use my receipt to get into the park. Using my receipt did not work and I called again in July of 2020. When I called again I was told to wait more time and my pass would come in the mail. I called a third time in September of 2020 and was told to go to a state parks office to get my pass reprinted. Unfortunately state parks office hours are during the exact times that I work so I decided to go yesterday which is a federal holiday. Not a state holiday and my local office was temporarily closed for reasons unknown and that proved to be extremely inconvenient. I spoke to a customer service representative this afternoon who offered to reprint my parks pass and send it by mail, wish I would've known that was an option back in June when I spoke with the first customer service representative. However, now that the boating season is over this reprint is virtually useless to me. She also told me that passes that were printed and mailed could not be refunded. Not only that she noted that the only record she has of me contacting customer service was in September 2020. This statement is not valid and I am really beginning to think there needs to be better communication between customer service representatives and the state parks. I want my pass refunded, not reprinted, I spent enough money on day passes this year to purchase another pass for next year. Any help would be appreciated.

The worst booking experience ever. No person to answer the phone. On the website misinformation for booking. Been on the rode 6 week camping - Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota, Georgia and Tennessee. This was pathetic. Arrive at campsite and there was space available website not woking they would not let me stay
