very interesting market recommended by a local bartender. after browsing around and being offered salsa for $20 CAD (they try to cheat you like at any good market), I stopped at stand 191. the lady spoke great English and she was very good at explaining the products (try the sea salt and olive oil grasshoppers ;) ). Highly recommend doing business with her.

Very friendly people, good prices not too crowded. I really like shopping here the tacos al pastor across the street are great too.

Mid July 2020 roughly half of the stalls are open, very few clients to be seen. Local produce abounded but the stands who sell the more exotic stuff were closed for obvious reasons. Had an espresso at the stand on the left hand side that claims to have gourmet coffee and has a Conde Nast traveler poster - it was good, not great but I'd still recommend it if you'd like an espresso. Just don't come here expecting an exceptionally good espresso. One of the stalls had fake Cuban cigars. See picture !

Its got some exotic food worth the visit.if you up for it try some insects I had a tarantula.
