ibis Cancun Centro

The room was clean, easy to find and the front desk worker Ana was very friendly. Would recommend!

A convenient place to stay at a spot close to Las Américas Mall, the real center of Cancún City. All the transportation from the city points to this spot. The hotel is enough for business or friends who want to spend the night to keep on working or having fun.

Very clean hotel, my room was nicely clean, but very small, did not like it too much, for the price I paid, I felt like it did not fit my expectations.

The staff here seem much kinder than other Ibis I've been to or who knows I am mistaken or 'selected a tasteless choice' just as the Ibis advertisement of an animation with eyeless, noseless, mouthless customers. 1st given room's AC didn't work. 2nd room's AC worked with the same system and buttons on the wall. Keycards on both rooms had green lights every time but had to be used several times in order for the doorknob to open which might give other customers about you any wrong impression other than wasting a bit more seconds or a minute. 2 large towels in the bathroom. At least it's a keycard not a door number code unlike Ibis in Toulouse France. I wondered whether the Ibis hotel's system was illegally hacked and customers were bullied to have their keycard green light yet unopening errors. There were other weird signs such as the faceless people animation Ibis advertisement behind the receptionist desk at the lobby as if customers at this Ibis lack good eyesight or don't talk. Now I want to check out sooner what should I do, ask for a refund? Phew Mexico is written as 墨西哥 in Chinese, and Cancun as 坎昆. I thought perhaps there were ingenious ancient people who analyzed lands when they named them or the characters chosen as the names shaped the culture of the nation along the centuries. Then there are people whose names have wonderful meanings but those are others and there are hidden meanings in words...
