Archivo Maguey

After tasting many mezcals over the course of two weeks, I can confidently declare the Archivo Maguey brand to be my favorite. The flavor has pleasant depth without being overwhelmingly smoky. I bought four bottles to take home with me! Also, the dine-in experience is great - the food is delicious and the upper level terrace offers a nice view over the courtyard. I can't wait to get back next time I'm in Oaxaca.

Great place to have a cocktail and a snack

I can't talk about the food as we did not even eat there. When choosing a table, we were not allowed to sit in the light back of the restaurant. Waiter said to us that this is not the serving area, although it was inside the restaurant and all places were free (no reservation etc.) We were send to a dark corner at the side (bad ambiente)

Loved the ambiance and the music.

Always a good place to have some Mezcal. Sometimes they have live music alternating with a DJ. Don't forget to try the tacos, they're pretty good.
