We upgraded to Privilege. It was nice to eat breakfast in the Privilege Lounge. The room was nice and spacious. The staff was not very friendly or helpful and the food was just okay. Not quite what comes to mind when on a vacation in Mexico. We were unable to get in the ocean because of the amount of seaweed you would have to climb through. The Privilege private beach area was a great spot to sit to be near the ocean and it wasn’t usually crowded. All the pools were over crowded and there was no chance of getting a chair unless you were out at 4am to put a towel down. It wasn’t a horrible stay but I can’t say I’d choose this place again if returning for vacation.

This hotel is awesome. The food, the service, the amenities-all spectacular. We wish we could have stayed here more than 2 nights but unfortunately our travel schedule didn't allow us to do so otherwise we could have stayed there for at least a week or so. Anyways, the overall experience is very positive. It's a big hotel with I counted 4 pools, gym, spa, fresh juice stand, ice cream joint, coffee shop, burger joint and multiple restaurants with multinational cuisines ranging from Asia to Europe to Latin America. There are various activities to take part in and if you want to have a relaxed and laid back experience, you have plethora of options to do so. The service staffs are so amazing, courteous that they make you feel like a royalty. We went with all inclusive option which allowed us to dine in any of the restaurants and eat whatever we wanted. I would definitely come back here without any hesitation.

I went for Christmas 2020. It has taken me a few weeks to write this review because I wanted to take my feelings out of it. I wanted to offer the most constructive review possible. This resort is beautiful. Hands down. The accommodations are nice and the staff are pleasant hard-workers. The resort lacks in effective operations and communications. I wanted to give credit for pandemic restrictions but I can not. The issues I experienced were not solely based on new regulations. They were primarily due to poor management. Among little nuances, my biggest issues were that the food was not good and the Privilege rules were off putting to non-Privilege guests. I was a non-Privilege guest who was constantly reminded of where I did not belong. Many times these were accidents, as the resort is all-inclusive so things like Cabanas appeared to be available to all. I was also in the company of Privilege members, but that didn't seem to matter as staff routinely asked me to leave Privileged spaces. Quite frankly, the Privilege options were not much of an upgrade compared to the standard. My trip ended with me in tears after being constantly shepherded elsewhere, rules of certain areas being inconsistent, hunger, being hounded about joining their club despite declining, and management begging for more money (twice) after I checked out because "they forgot to add charges". The resort is entirely family friendly and adult friendly, it's large, has many amenities, and participates in social distancing and safety precautions. They lacked with coordination. If you have expectations of 4 - 5 star service I would not recommend this place. If you're okay with above subpar then go for it. I'm happy to share the details of my vacation offline. I left with the mindset that nothing could rectify the problems I experienced, except a bottle of wine - which they still asked me to pay for even though it was offered as a courtesy. I don't plan to return.

Looks can be deceiving. Upon entering the lobby, the hotel looks like a beautiful, welcoming, modern place. You will be greeted with smiling faces and employees who seem to truly care about you; unfortunately, that's where the good vibes stop. STAFF-4.5 STARS. Upon checking in, we were "uprgaded" to an ocean view room. Excited, we opened the door to the room and found a slightly outdated and awful smelling room with a partial ocean view if you looked to the right. We had holes in our curtains and our shower overflowed. Once maintenance was called he looked at the shower and said it was okay, until he walked out and showed us a WAD of hair that was clogging our drain. ROOM-1.5 STARS. Next we went to find food upon our arrival and found that there wasn't much open. We ate at a buffet that had minimal options and the options they did have were sub par at best. This trend continued on through our stay with restaurants having minimal open hours and sometimes having one 1 restaurant to chose from for a meal. The food at all places, minus the ice cream shop, were pretty horrible. FOOD- LESS THAN 1 STAR. A few positives are wonderful water pressure in our hair clogged, overflowing shower, courteous staff and a beautiful beach. With all that being said, I would not recommend this place, nor will I be returning.

The staff was not friendly at all. Everyone seemed like they hated working there. The friendliest person we encountered was the maid. We upgraded to a privilege suite that was supposed to have an ocean view, but it was partial ocean view. I wouldn't do the upgrade, other than you get to eat at smaller private restaurant/private section of the beach. Even the staff there was slow and not pleasant. There were holes in the curtains, the air filter they had was blowing hot air, and the fire detector was constantly blinking (I think the battery needed to be replaced). There's so many resorts to choose from, I wouldn't come back here just because of the staff.
