This place was amazing, gorgeous, right on the beach! The staff were above and beyond kind, friendly, and extremely professional! All of them! Never ever encountered an employee of the hotel that didn't always have a smile on their face. The rooms were also very nice and clean. The restaurants very good too. I would highly recommend this place!!
This is a beautiful hotel but the furniture in the rooms needs to be upgraded. The sliding screen doors do not work. Ladies if you have a fresh manicure or a fresh set of nails do not attempt to open the sliding glass door on your balcony because they will break right off. There is too much furniture in the room it needs to be more of a minimalist concept. A huge dresser drawer right when you walk in the room? Why? People are hanging their clothes in the closet. Food was decent. If you are into rules and being told that you can sit there but not there and you can’t order food at your cabana but you can walk all the way to the restaurant to get it but you still can’t bring the food back to the cabana and you can’t do this and you can’t do that then this place is for you. Also and this is the biggest problem. Zilara check in process takes WAY too long. We sat in your lobby for about 30 minutes while a woman we could barely hear was Having a sign several pieces of paper. My boyfriend is a lawyer and was just laughing at what he was reading why would we even need to sign it? Anyway. Also a phone ringing literally the entire 20 to 30 minutes we were sitting there. No one ever answered it. The front desk is understaffed. Check in Should be one of the smoothest services that you offer. Why? Because people have bags and they are tired and they wanna get to their room and take a shower. And also your bellhop you don’t even have one. Guest should walk in your lobby and have their bags on a cart, check me in quickly, take me to my room and go away. But I do want to say stunning views and very European looking decor. Workers seemed overworked unhappy and in a bad mood. And where are the female staff? It’s 100% grumpy men waiting on you there. And by the way your staff do not need to wear rubber gloves because it is not recommended by any health organization because they caused cross-contamination. They also make you feel like you are about to receive a gynecological exam when your waiter approaches your table. Zilara you are a nice place but there is some tweaking that could be done to make you great. Thank you for the stay
I just want to extend a huge thanks to the staff at Hyatt Zilara and my butler Sabina who made my short stay perfect. The location is unbeatable with plenty of chairs by the pool, attentive surface, and perfect ocean waters. Sabina made 2 dinner reservations for me, at the authentic Mexican restaurant and the a-la-carte Asian menu (not hibachi). Both menus were truly expansive and everything I ordered was timely and great! Really impressed by all of the food during my stay.
The resort itself is quieter, but that was a perk for just wanting relaxation. I hope to return one day!
Love this place. I will be back when I can travel again.
The restaurants are top notch and beach view just amazing. The drinks are well done as well and the staff is pro.
The only thing missing the last time was the dancing on the beach // live band music experience and the indoor meet and greet so people could meet others if they wanted to.
Having a live theater show outside would be also a huge entertainment and a plus.
When I first arrived Manuel was the first to great us. He sat us down, offered us water and checked us in. He was extremely helpful! We arrived early and was still able to check in two hours early than expected. This kicked off the trip on the perfect note. The whole staff was super attentive and helpful. Gabriel was also there for us everyday getting us whatever we needed, drinks, towels, reservations, etc. His smile made us feel very at home.
Now onto my favorite part, the SPA! The spa is gorgeous and one of the best couple massages we've ever had. Rosa, Rosy and Aurora truly made our spa experience wonderful. Everything we wanted and needed was there. They also spaced out the appointments so it wasn't crowded at all. It was almost like you had the entire place to yourself.
Highly highly recommend this hotel. I will be going back!
